This year, your incredible support has meant we’ve been able to give over 1,700 people more moments with their loved ones. Thank you.
Your support has also allowed us to grow the stem cell register by 33,560 people, collect 1,907 umbilical cords for future cord blood transplants, and invest £2.77m into vital medical research to support people who need a stem cell transplant. We couldn’t have done it without you.
A year after Colin had a stem cell transplant to treat acute myeloid leukaemia, he contacted his donor anonymously and was thrilled to receive a warm message back from Charlie. At Christmas 2024, Colin opened a very special card from his wife, left under the Christmas tree. It read, Let’s go see Charlie! ‘Meeting Charlie was a full-circle, emotional moment,’ says Colin.
This festive season, see how you could fundraise to give people like Colin more moments that matter with the people they care about.
Laura made headlines around the world when she crossed the finish line of the London Marathon in her wedding dress in memory of her husband Xander, who died last year after a stem cell transplant. She’s now raised over £35,000 for Anthony Nolan – a remarkable legacy for Xander.

The very first Anthony Nolan Cell Collection Centre opened in the summer. The centre will create up to 1,300 more slots for donation every year, easing pressure on the NHS and making transplants happen faster. Because when someone needs a lifesaving stem cell transplant, every moment counts.
