About Anthony Nolan and our impact
Shirley Nolan created the world’s first stem cell register to find a match for her son Anthony. Since then, our charity has been inspired by one vision: saving the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders.
Gifts in Wills are vital to achieving this vision. For decades, they have helped our charity to facilitate over 28,000 transplants and grow the register to over 900,000 potential donors.
What these figures don’t show is the special, life-defining moments that happen as a result. They don’t show the birthdays, the holidays, the first days at school, the first loves, and the family celebrations that people can enjoy following a lifesaving stem cell transplant.
The gifts which people leave to Anthony Nolan in their Wills can make these moments possible. They enable us to grow the register, give more people hope of finding a matching donor and fund world-class research to improve transplant outcomes.
Leaving a gift in your Will could mean that, in the future, there can be more stories like Joanna’s
