The guidance is updated regularly so please read the latest rules in your area.

If you have had or are waiting to have a stem cell transplant, or have a weakened immune system, please visit this section of our website for our most up to date advice. We are working with other cancer charities, medical experts, researchers and the NHS to update our advice on a regular basis.

Your safety is our priority and due to the increased risk from covid-19, our advice is that if you fall into the ‘clinically extremely vulnerable’ category, you should avoid taking part in large scale challenge events (like the Great North Run and London Marathon) at the present time. We advise you to speak to your medical team to discuss this with them.

Testing and isolating

If you or someone you live with develops any of the following symptoms, please self-isolate and take a test which you can order on the government website.

  • A high temperature
  • A new, continuous cough
  • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

If you test positive or live with someone who tests positive, please isolate according to the government guidance.

Wearing face coverings

We ask everyone to wear masks in enclosed spaces, and to keep your distance, to protect the clinically vulnerable.

Taking on a skydive, a running event, cycling event or swimming event

If you are taking on an organised event, you must follow the instructions from the organisers. They are working hard to keep you safe while taking on the event, so please follow their guidance.
