What’s on this page?

What is AN Connect?

AN Connect is a web portal that facilitates all Patient Typing, Search, Verification Typing, Extended Typing and Work Up requests for UK transplant centres.

Once you have been set up on AN Connect, you can access it using the link below

AN Connect was designed to remove outdated manual processes and streamline communications, freeing up more time for you and your team to focus on patients and clinical work.

We are continuing to develop AN Connect with regular releases focussed on improving how we work with you. All our improvements are based on feedback from people using the system, our AN Connect User Group and the teams at Anthony Nolan you work with.

How can I request access?

Every UK transplant centre has one or two AN Connect Team Managers who are responsible for adding new users to the system.

If you’re not sure who your Team Manager is, then you can contact us and we will put you in touch.

What do I do if I have any problems using it?

To report an issue or problem, please use the Report an Issue button in AN Connect. To help us resolve your issue quickly please include as much information as possible including:

  • where on AN Connect you ran into trouble
  • what you can't do
  • screenshots of any error messages

All issues reported will automatically raise a ticket with the Anthony Nolan App Support team – you can find out more about our App Support team here.

If you have any issues that prevent you from submitting an urgent request to Anthony Nolan you can do this via email by downloading the relevant form from our Guides and Forms page and submitting it to by email.

If you are unable to access the portal for any reason, please get in touch via email

Where can I find training?

We have a dedicated Learning Management System with guidance on how to use the system, frequently asked questions and more.

Once you have been set up, you can access it using the button below

If you need access, please use the Report an Issue button in AN Connect and ask to be added. We will need to know which transplant centre you are from and whether you work in the labs or on the ward.
