We’re delighted to share some breaking news from our ‘Reach the Six’ Asian Campaign.

We have recruited 1,500 Asians to the bone marrow register as part of the campaign.

This means we are ever closer to finding donors for people like Aneesa, who desperately needs a lifesaving bone marrow transplant. Asian patients have a 40% chance of finding a matching donor, compared to 90% for patients from white northern European backgrounds.

But we still need your help. If you’re Asian and aged 16–30, you’re one of only 6% of the UK who could give an Asian patient a chance of life.

You can join the register online or attend one of our recruitment events. Donating is very simple. In fact, for 90% of donors, it involves a process similar to giving blood. For further information, please visit our Six Percent Campaign page.
