For the first time ever, UK beatboxers Beardyman, Reeps One and MC Zani jam together and use their skills to help save lives. In this short film, they show people how easy it is to join the bone marrow register and save a life – just by giving a spit sample.

During their jam session, they use their beats to spread the word about blood cancer, encouraging viewers to ‘click the link’ and join the bone marrow register online.

This follows the ‘Make Some Noise’ video campaign by Anthony Nolan earlier this month featuring beatboxer Bass 6, which has already had over 45,000 views on youtube.

Beardyman, Reeps One and MC Zani were inspired to join the #Spit4Mum campaign, run by brother and sister Jonni and Caroline Berger. They need to find a lifesaving stem cell donor for their mum in the next 5 weeks.

Caroline, Sharon’s daughter, says, ‘It’s incredible that Beardyman, Reeps One, and MC Zani are supporting our campaign. Hopefully it will encourage more young people to join the register and help find bone marrow donors for people who are in the same desperate situation as my family.’

Chrystyna Chymera, Marketing Manager at Anthony Nolan, adds, ‘Beatboxing is a great way to spread the word about the bone marrow register, as it engages with the young people we know will help us save lives. We particularly need young men to join the register, and we hope that this video will encourage more 16–30 year olds to come forward.’
