We use our social media channels to share incredible stories from patients, donors, and supporters, and to keep you up to date with our work.
We love to read your comments and want you to feel safe to share your own experiences and start wider conversations. Please remember the views expressed by our social media community do not represent the views of Anthony Nolan. Always speak to your healthcare team before acting on any advice given to you by other users.
Social media is public – so only post information you’re happy for everyone to see. Remember to consider your privacy as well as the privacy of anyone else involved. You can always send us a direct message if you don’t want your message to be public.

Monitoring and responding
Let us know if you have any concerns about anything you see on our social media channels, and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. You can also report posts to the platform directly.
We monitor our main accounts 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays. We read all messages and will reply to them where appropriate, but we can’t reply to every message we receive. If you contact us with a query, we aim to get back to you within two working days.
Likes, follows and shares
We sometimes follow, like or share content we think is of interest or benefit to our community, but this does not mean that we endorse the originating person or organisation.
Your content
We love to re-share content that will interest others and we will always ask you for permission to re-post. Please note that this this excludes retweeting or when we are tagged in an Instagram post or story and re-share to our own stories via the platform.
We are unable to share individual fundraising pages but welcome stories from our supporters! Please reach out to stories@anthonynolan.org.
We do not advertise external research studies on our social media channels.
Patient Support
We are unable to provide direct support via Anthony Nolan social media channels. Our Patient Services team can offer information, advice, and emotional and practical support for you and your family by phone or email:
If you need medical support when our helpline is closed, please contact your transplant team, your GP or 111. Contact 999 in an emergency.
If you need emotional support, you can contact Samaritans on 116 123 or jo@samaritans.org for free at any time, 24 hours a day.
