The team of 28 fundraisers cycled over 500 miles from their Edinburgh headquarters to the company’s newly-acquired subsidiary Orbital Marketing Services Group in Kent. Led by Managing Director David McIntosh, the cyclists travelled the length of the UK passing through several cities including Glasgow, Sheffield and Cambridge, visiting colleagues at various branches along the way.

The cycle ride ran alongside the company’s first dedicated Charity Week in which colleagues held fundraising events such as bake sales, car washes and dress down days.

The riders have raised more than £24,000 so far and all proceeds will go to Anthony Nolan and Children 1st.

Laura Parsell, Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager at Anthony Nolan, says, ‘It’s been fantastic to have Menzies Distribution supporting Anthony Nolan. It costs around £100 to recruit each potential donor to the charity, so their fundraising really is vital to our life saving work. The 500 mile cycle was a huge challenge but everyone had a lot of fun along the way. It was brilliant welcoming them back and we’re really looking forward to working with them more in the future.’
