Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without the dulcet tones of the M&S Christmas Food campaign reverberating around your living room. And this year is more magical than most, as Anthony Nolan’s beloved patron (who needs no introduction but is namely the inimitable Olivia Colman), voices the first of a series of charity Christmas ads for the M&S Food brand.

Olivia has chosen to support three charities through the campaign, of which Anthony Nolan is one. This means that Anthony Nolan is in-line to receive a £33,334 donation as a result of the generosity of Olivia and M&S Food. This significant amount will fund over 800 new, potentially lifesaving donors to be added to the stem cell register, increasing the chances of people with blood cancer or a blood disorder finding their perfect match.

Olivia Colman says: “I am delighted to work with M&S Food and lend my voice to a campaign that supports UK charities at a time when they need it the most”.

Henny Braund, Chief Executive of Anthony Nolan says: “People with blood cancer rely on Anthony Nolan for a second chance of life.

“Christmas is a time for kindness. Anthony Nolan relies of the kindness of strangers to donate stem cells to those for whom a transplant is their best chance of survival.

“We’re so grateful to both M&S, and our wonderful patron Olivia this Christmas, for this generous donation which will help us add over 800 new donors to the stem cell register; every one representing hope for person with blood cancer or blood disorder searching for a second chance of life through a stem cell match.”

The advertising campaign went live at 8.58am on ITV and across social media on the morning of Friday 6 November and includes a reference to Anthony Nolan, Back Up Trust and Tender on the final frame. More than 34 million adults will see the launch TV advert in the first four days alone.
