More than 300 Baker Tilly staff and clients are gearing up to take part in a gruelling 660 mile charity bike ride from London to Leeds to arrive just before the start of the Tour de France.

The ‘Tour de Baker Tilly’, which is aiming to raise more than £10,000 for Anthony Nolan and The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, will set off from the accountancy firm’s London headquarters on 23 June.

Volunteer riders from across Baker Tilly’s network of UK offices will take part in at least one of 11 stages, with around 30 riders cycling between 50 and 80 miles per day. The ride will finish at the firm’s Leeds office on 4 July – just a day before le Grand Départ, the start of the Tour de France.

Martin Rossiter, Baker Tilly Partner who is organising the event said: ‘Many staff at Baker Tilly have been bitten by the cycling bug, and even do some of their networking in the saddle. We wanted to take advantage of this enthusiasm and set ourselves a challenge that we hope will raise several thousand pounds for our chosen charities.’

Laura Parsell, Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager at Anthony Nolan said ‘We’re delighted that so many Baker Tilly staff and clients have signed up to take on this fantastic challenge to raise vital funds for Anthony Nolan. We wish them the very best of luck for the next two weeks!’
