Anthony Nolan's Director of Fundraising, Catherine Miles, has been named as number 5 in Civil Society's Top 50 Most Influential Fundraisers in 2013. Up one place from number 6 last year, the vote is based on an annual poll of UK fundraisers within the charity and public sectors.

Catherine Miles, said: 'I am delighted to have been recognised again this year in Civil Society's Top 50 Most Influential Fundraisers. Over the last year, fundraising income has increased at Anthony Nolan, giving us vital funds to grow our register of lifesaving donors. We've invested in regular giving and Trusts and Major Gifts, and moved to a holistic supporter development model, and have won successful partnerships with ITV's Text Santa and the 2014 Virgin Money London Marathon. With our 40th anniversary in 2014, I'm confident that the next 12 months will be an incredibly exciting time for Anthony Nolan fundraising.'

Catherine is responsible for all voluntary fundraising donations, including gifts from individuals, companies and trusts. Previously at Shelter, she joined Anthony Nolan in 2009.

As it costs us £100 to add each new donor, Catherine’s main goal is to build up the five traditional income streams to help us grow the register. This includes companies, trusts and major donors, events, individual giving and community fundraising. The income from fundraising supports many vital areas including donor recruitment, new areas of research and Anthony Nolan’s public awareness work.
