Rio Ferdinand has released a new t-shirt bearing the cult football slogan ‘Stay on your feet’, which will be sold through his website. 10% of the proceeds will go to Anthony Nolan.

Ferdinand started supporting Anthony Nolan after he read about Alice Pyne, the 15-year-old girl with terminal blood cancer who wrote a blog listing all the things she wants to do before she dies. One of her wishes was for everyone to join the stem cell register, which Anthony Nolan manages.

Ferdinand says, “I’m really excited about the ‘Stay on your feet’ t-shirt, and to be working with Anthony Nolan. They’re a fantastic charity, and it’s great to know that every t-shirt sold will help raise money for people with blood cancer.”

The ‘Stay on your feet’ phrase was coined after Ray Wilkins repeated it several times during a match between Tottenham and Real Madrid earlier this year. The slogan soon started trending on social media outlets, and Ferdinand joined in, mentioning it on his Twitter feed and during interviews.

You can buy the t-shirt for £11.99 from Rio's website www.rioferdinand.com.
