Stem cell connections

Make a difference like never before

Every month, more lives saved

Every day, Anthony Nolan gives four people another chance to live.

We do this through connecting amazing individuals willing to donate their healthy stem cells to patients who desperately need another chance to live. Your support makes this possible.

The journey of stem cells is one of powerful connections between people. Stem cell donors, patients, healthcare professionals, volunteers, researchers, supporters – all touch each other’s lives in deeply meaningful ways to enable a lifesaving stem cell transplant to happen.

Jensen's story

In 2021, when Jensen was just seven, he was diagnosed with XLP1, an extremely rare type of cancer. He needed a stem cell transplant from a matching donor – a lifesaving connection.

His older brother was tested but sadly wasn’t a match for Jensen – then it was an anxious waiting game. Jensen’s first match fell through, and another was arranged. Thanks to Anthony Nolan, he finally got his new cells on 9 June 2022. Now, three years on, he’s going from strength to strength.

Now, three years on, he’s going from strength to strength. His mum, Beverley, says, ‘We are forever thankful for the kindness of his donor and the gift of life he’s given to Jensen.’
