You could give someone like Henry another chance to live
10-year-old Henry from Sussex has just been diagnosed with severe aplastic anaemia, a blood disorder that affects the production of healthy stem cells in the bone marrow. From being a happy, sporty child, into Minecraft and athletics, he’s now very unwell, and urgently needs a stem cell transplant to survive.
His parents are appealing for people to join the Anthony Nolan stem cell register. ‘The best outcome for Henry is a stem cell transplant for which we are desperately still waiting for that special donor,’ his mum, Alison, said. ‘We only recently became aware because of our own situation about the amazing work that Anthony Nolan undertakes in supporting and helping families in the most emotionally distressing times.’
