Sharing your experience
You’re doing something amazing by donating your stem cells, and we'd love you to share your own amazing story if you'd like to.
This page will provide some tips and guidance to get you started
What should I capture?
We want any, and all, content – for any, and all, channels. Photos, videos, blogs, vlogs – you name it, we love it.
Some ideas could include:
- Travel to and from the donation centre
- A Get Ready With Me
- In your donation chair or bed
- Talking to camera about your experience
Why is sharing my story important?
Your story can encourage others to join the stem cell register, or support Anthony Nolan in other ways if they can’t. You can show people just how incredible it is to give someone another chance to live.
Donation day - 'Snap the perfect picture'
Here are a few pointers for you to capture the best your best side!
- Make it portrait
- Photo in your bed or chair
- Big, happy smile!
- Make it high-res ( no filters - sorry!)
Examples of what you could capture
Noah's experience
"I sat down on a bed, got hooked up to a machine, watched a couple of movies and that was it. It was just a nice chance to relax."
Noah, who donated his stem cells in 2023.
Noah's image has resulted in over 2000 people joining the stem cell register as of August 2025!
