We’re offering seven free webinars for transplant centre staff involved in or interested in using cord blood in their clinical work.
The webinars will cover various elements of the cord transplant journey, from banking and selection of the best unit, to thawing, infusion and troubleshooting. Uses of cord blood beyond transplant will also be covered in this series.
All the webinars are CPD-accredited by the British Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (BSHI). You'll earn 1 CPD point per webinar attended.

Dr Chloe Anthias
Dr Chloe Anthias is a Donor Consultant at Anthony Nolan and consults on stem cell transplantation at the Royal Marsden Hospital. She also holds posts as Associate Honorary Faculty at the Institute of Cancer Research and Honorary Associate Professor at University College London.
Professor Rob Wynn
Professor Rob Wynn is Consultant Paediatric Haematologist and Director of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Programme at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, and Honorary Professor of Paediatric Haematology and Cell Therapy at MAHSC. Rob has published over 230 peer-reviewed papers, co-authored a paediatric haematology textbook, and remains a passionate advocate for clinical trials in children.
Dr Patricia Freire
Dr Patricia Freire is the Head of Innovation at Exogenus Therapeutics, a biotech company committed to transforming biological waste materials such as umbilical cord blood into novel solutions for human health. Exogenus’s lead therapeutic candidate, Exo-101, is a secretome product enriched in extracellular vesicles with broad application for regenerative medicine indications.
Dr Irina Evseeva
Dr Irina Evseeva, Head of Specialist Services at Anthony Nolan, leads the team exploring, testing and implementing science-based initiatives to enhance the services provided to Transplant Centres to improve transplant outcome. She co-leads the Cord Support Programme.
Dr Claire Simpson
Dr Claire Simpson is the Clinical Delivery Manager at the Anthony Nolan Cell Therapy Centre in Nottingham, UK. She has over 20 years of experience in cell therapy, tissue engineering, and clinical research to advance regenerative medicine and enhance patient outcomes.
Dr Roger Horton
Dr Roger Horton is the Head of Clinical Innovation & Partnerships at the Anthony Nolan Cell Therapy Centre in Nottingham, UK. He’s a passionate promoter of best practice in the search, selection, manufacture, and application of cord blood in both transplant and cellular therapy applications.
Anaily Valderrama
Anaily is the Cell Therapy Partnerships Lead at Anthony Nolan, working with researchers, biotech, and pharma to deliver bespoke services covering the provision of donor material, cryopreservation, and cell processing. She leverages Anthony Nolan’s expertise to support the development of new advanced therapies.
