But we need your help to cure blood cancer, mile by mile
The incredible difference it will make…
Where to begin! Well, besides all the extra awareness of blood cancer, bone marrow transplantation, the urgent need for more donors and our vital work, we expect to raise lots and lots of money. £1m, to be precise.
And with these fantastic funds, we will add 10,000 more bone marrow donors to our register. For someone with blood cancer, that’s 10,000 more chances of a cure.
Not bad for a Sunday’s run, eh??
…and how you can help us make it
Well, run it! And there are two ways you can make sure you do just that.
Use your own place to join our team if you are succesful in the ballot come October and enjoy all the perks of being one of our cancer-curing running crew. All we ask is that you set yourself a fundraising goal and do your best to meet it.
Register with your ballot place online.
Apply for one of our guaranteed places at
milebymile.org. We will ask you to commit to raising a minimum of £1,850 - that might sound like a lot, but we will give you plenty of advice to help you reach that target.
The perks of being one of our marvellous marathoners
To help you on your lifesaving mission, you’ll enjoy a support package that would make even the elite runners turn emerald with envy, including:
• expert training tips
• personalised running vest
• injury prevention advice
• the loudest cheering stations on the course
• post-race reception with massage and food, a stone’s throw from the finish line

Enter the ballot from the early hours of 29 April 2013 and tick our name from the list of charities. Easy! Then, if you’re lucky enough to secure a place when the results are announced in October,
