Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer who need a stem cell (or bone marrow) transplant. Thanks to the remarkable donors on our register, our pioneering research and our passionate fundraisers, we give the chance of life to three people a day.
Unfortunately there are still people we can’t help. That’s why we need more donors – because the more people who join our register, the more lives we can save. Donor recruitment events are a great way of inspiring people to join, and we’d love you to give us a hand doing just that.
We need your help on event day to welcome potential donors, hand out forms, answer basic questions and help us to guide people through the process of joining the stem cell register.
We are looking for volunteers who are warm, confident and friendly and able to deal with any issues sensitively and diplomatically. Our recruitment events are usually around half a day and are held across quiet a wide area, so you will need to be ready and willing to make your own way to events.
We offer all our volunteers an initial on the day training session before the event starts and you will be supported at the event in your role by your local Anthony Nolan representative. If you incur any expenses as part of your role (e.g. lunch and travel) we’ll reimburse them in line with our expenses policy.
You need to be 18 or older to volunteer in this role.
