Anthony Nolan's Patient and Families Forum is a place where people can connect with others and share tips and advice about life before, during and after a stem cell or bone marrow transplant.
We want to make the forum a warm, lively place where people can post about their experiences of transplant. At the same time, we need to make that the community is a safe and friendly environment where users can share information and offer support.
We’re looking for Online Community Champion volunteers to help us moderate the forum, to reply to others, start new discussions, to help make it a supportive and useful place for other patients and families. You can be a patient, a family member, carer or a parent to apply. If you are a patient, you need to be a minimum of one year post-transplant.
The role involves welcoming new members, sharing aspects of your transplant experience and recovery, starting new topics of conversation and checking posts to make sure the community is used appropriately.
To take on this role you will need to be a confident IT user and able to volunteer from home, using your own computer and internet connection. You’ll also need to be good at communicating with people online in a friendly way and recognise the importance of confidentiality.
Ideally, you’ll be available to volunteer a couple of times a week to check in on the Forum. This can be as often or as little as you like, and the Anthony Nolan team will support you throughout.
