This unique trip involves a tough six-day jungle trek through Gunung Leuser National Park’s rainforests, one of the only places in the world you can see orangutans in the wild.
You’ll track wildlife, walk through rivers, meet local people, tube down the rapids of the Bohorok river and visit an orangutan feeding platform.
You’ll learn to spot an astounding array of plants and wildlife and hone many rainforest skills. Sumatra’s forests are a last refuge for many of the world’s most endangered species. This trek is designed to give you a real experience of jungle life, one you will never forget.
What does the challenge involve?
This is an 11-day trek led by experienced guides and supported by a first aid trained, English-speaking leader. You’ll meet a fantastic group of people and be supported every step of the way.
