This trek is an off-the-beaten-track alternative to the busy Inca Trail. You’ll enjoy spectacular scenery as you glimpse a way of Peruvian life untouched for centuries.
As you walk through endless stunning valleys you’ll meet Andean farmers tending herds of llamas and Alpacas. You’ll experience local communities and visit a school. And you’ll take in the dazzling glacial blue lakes the region is famed for.
Towards the end of the challenge you’ll have time to explore the ruins at Machu Picchu, the ‘lost city of the Incas’. These breathtaking pre-Columbian ruins are nestled high in the Andes between two peaks.
