We’d like to say an enormous thank you to Skiddle and their lovely customers for raising a phenomenal £15,345 for our lifesaving work!
Skiddle, the UK’s biggest what’s on guide and leading ticket agent have a checkout donation scheme on its website so that with each ticket purchase, customers were given the opportunity to add a £1 donation and they responded with overwhelming generosity.
Anthony Nolan was put forward to be a beneficiary of the scheme by the company’s head of content and communication, Jimmy Coultas, who has previously donated his own stem cells to his brother.
Jimmy said: “We wanted to run with a charity that our customers felt connected to so we asked people on our Facebook page to choose the next beneficiary of our scheme from a selection of charities, and the resounding choice was to go with Anthony Nolan. This is also a charity close to my heart as my brother has twice been diagnosed with leukaemia. The second time he required a stem cell transplant, and I ended up being his donor.”
As well as providing financial support, Skiddle promoted Anthony Nolan in their newsletter and encouraged their customers to think about joining the Anthony Nolan bone marrow donor register.
