For the first time ever, Anthony Nolan has found a matching donor for more than 1,000 people with blood cancer in a single year. That’s 1,000 mums, dads, husbands, wives, sons and daughters who’ve been given the chance of life because of stem cells donated by one of our remarkable volunteers.

These 1,000 people only have the chance of a cure because of the generosity of our supporters who have allowed us to add new donors to our stem cell register. To tissue type them in our world-leading labs. And to carry out ground-breaking medical research into finding the best possible matches for desperately ill patients.

But we can’t stop here. Right now, for every two people we’ve found a matching donor for, there’s been another two we couldn’t. Our aim is to save the life of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant - that’s why we must keep growing our stem cell register and continue our pioneering research.
