If you have the same tissue type as someone with a blood cancer, such as leukaemia, you can donate some of your healthy stem cells and potentially save their life.
Right now, we can only find a matching donor for half the people who come to us in desperate need of a lifesaving transplant. Men aged 18-30 are more likely to be chosen to donate, but they currently account for just 12% of donors on our register. That’s why we need more of them to come forward.

Join the register in three easy steps:
FIND OUT
Donating involves a straightforward medical procedure and your body replaces the stem cells taken within 21 days. You will not be asked to donate to more than two people with blood cancer during your time on the register. If you have any questions watch our animation below or
contact us:
APPLY
If you’re fit and healthy there’s every chance you are able to join the register. To find out if you’re suitable, please complete the online application form. It takes less than 10 minutes to apply.
SPIT
After checking your application we’ll send you a spit kit in the post. Use this to send us back a saliva sample and we send you a donor card, welcoming you on to the register.
