We’re passionate about saving lives. It’s something we have in common with our donors, who regularly tell us that it’s the most rewarding thing they’ve ever done.

You might never get to meet the person whose life you’ve saved. But you can gain some idea, in the words of those who’ve received a transplant:

'We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a donor for our son. You have given him the chance of life and a future, for which we shall be eternally grateful.'

'It is difficult to put into words how to thank you for the kindness you have shown. For the greatest present of all, ‘life itself’.'

'You offered me a lifeline yesterday, something that I, and my family, will never forget. I am strong and positive and I know I will get there, but it would not be possible without your ‘gift’ to me.'

One in 11 million
When John needed a stem cell transplant in 2009, Anthony Nolan searched 11 million donors worldwide. Only one donor was found to be a match. His children made a video to share with us the effect that John’s lifesaving transplant has had on their lives.
