Volunteering Opportunities

We have hundreds of volunteers across the UK, who support our lifesaving work. Without them, we couldn’t save as many lives as we do. With you, we will have the chance of saving more.

Who can become an Anthony Nolan volunteer?
Anyone. The reason we’re so successful at helping lots of different people is because we thrive on diversity. Whether you have a little or a lot of time, we have lots of opportunities to suit everyone:

'Donate a day'

Only have a day spVolunteers at an eventare?
We have a temporary need for administration volunteers in the London office and London laboratory. The Donor Support team needs help with sending out saliva kits to potential donors, keeping our database up-to-date, issuing application forms and keeping up with admin such as photocopying and filing. If you would like to volunteer with the Donor Support team or the Laboratory team , please email donorsupport@anthonynolan.org

Want to commit a bit more time?
We rely on volunteers at our donor recruitment events, to help us talk to potential donors about joining our register. Find out more.

You could even organise your own recruitment event in your workplace. We’re particularly keen to run these in companies with a high number of young male employees, as they’re more likely to come up as matches.

Or, if you're at university, you could join or set up a Marrow group and recruit fellow students to the register.

If you have a bit more time, you could train and fundraise for one of our fundraising events. You could even organise your own to help us raise vital funds.

If you’re based in Liverpool, Birmingham, Yorkshire, Bristol or London, you could help us to educate the next generation of blood stem cell donors on our Register and Be a Lifesaver project.

We have a number of couriers who transport donated stem cells around the world. Donations are always given in London, so if you’re based in or near the capital, find out more. Please note there are no courier vacancies at the moment, but please check the website regularly in case this changes.

We have 45 different Friends Groups across the UK. Our regionally-based groups get together to raise funds, raise awareness about our work and help recruit more people to join the register.
