Your hard work makes it possible for us to manage the UK’s most successful stem cell register. So when we take on volunteers, we want to make your experience as fun and enjoyable as possible.

Commitment 1: Induction and training
Commitment 2: Supervision, support and flexibility

We’ll teach you about the high standards we work to and help you achieve and maintain them.

We’ll support you by appointing a member of staff who will regularly get in touch to talk about your volunteering.

We’ll help you develop your new role with training and support.
Commitment 3: Reimbursement of travel expenses
This may include money spent on public transport, or a mileage allowance as agreed with your Donor Recruitment Manager. Please keep all your receipts to give to us when we reimburse your expenses.

(For Recruitment Event volunteers only) Help the Donor Recruitment and Management teams by promoting the event, welcoming potential donors, supplying information or helping us with any other mutually agreed jobs.

Perform your volunteering role to the best of your ability.

Follow our procedures and standards including health and safety, and equal opportunities, in relation to our staff, customers, volunteers and clients.

Maintain the confidential information of our organisation and our clients.

Meet the agreed time commitments and standards. Also giving reasonable notice if you can’t commit to a role.

Not do anything that could bring Anthony Nolan into disrepute.
