Anthony Nolan additionally holds two Human Tissue Authority (HTA) licenses. One covers our Histocompatibility Laboratory and Registry allowing us to carry out the following activities (license number 22513):
The procurement, testing, distribution and/or import/export of tissues and/or cells intended for human application.
The other HTA license is held by our Cell Therapy Centre in Nottingham, allowing our cord blood programme to carry out the following activities (license number 22527):
The procurement, testing, processing, storage, and distribution of tissues and/or cells intended for human application.
Furthermore, the facility holds National Ethical Approval to act as a research tissue bank and is working towards FACT-NetCord accreditation.
The charities Histocompatibility Laboratory is also accredited by Clinical Pathology Accreditation Ltd. (CPA reference number 1517) and the European Federation for Immunogenetics (EFI number 03-GB-005-995).
